Prepare your vase by adding water and cut flower food (included with your bouquet) according to the instructions on the packet. Next, cut an inch off the bottom of the stems and place in water immediately. Change the water and freshly cut the bottom of the stems every 2-3 days. You can get flower food packets or liquid additions (such as Miracle-Gro for Fresh Cut Flowers, Solution for Flower Bouquets) at Home Depot, Amazon, or your local nursery.
